The BRIO NextGen program seeks to foster the enthusiasm kids have for running, jumping, throwing, climbing, and imitating their CrossFitting parents in a safe and encouraging setting. We focus first on developing balance, body control, flexibility, and proper movement and progresses growing bodies appropriately as they move through various stages of physical and mental development.

CrossFit BRIO

Next Generation

Spring Sessions are now open for registration!

Eligibility:

Because we feel strongly that health and fitness starts at home our NextGen program is only open to kids of our CrossFit BRIO members age 9 (Grade 4) and up. The parent(s) are involved in the program as "mentors" and participate with the kids in weekly fitness and cooking homework. Parents and kids also workout in the gym together on special occasions like stat holidays and PD days. And as the kids gain experience in the NextGen program, we start to transition them to attending regular CrossFit classes with mom or dad and eventually into competitive CrossFit as a sport, which begins at age 14.

Summer Camp
Fitness, crafting, and cooking!

Week long, full day (9am - 4pm) camp July 22 - 26, 2024
for kids ages 9 and up.

Kids will enjoy a variety of learning, creating, and fitness activities. Throughout the day we'll be lifting weights, stretching, training, rucking, and practicing gymnastics skills. Alongside our fitness activities will be cooking, learning about nutrition, playing games, and crafting cool items to keep.

The grande finale is a dinner for all the parents and siblings on Friday night prepared by the kids from scratch!

The kids will learn how to chop vegetables, marinate meats, prepare side dishes, and use a BBQ. They will come home equipped to assist (or even take charge) of food and meal prep!

We'll cover important topics like proper knife skills, safe food handling, and kitchen safety around hot equipment.

Some things to note:
During camp we will be cooking (sharp things and hot surfaces), using power tools, and possibly throwing axes.
Kids need to be well behaved, hard working, and good listeners so we can all have a fun (and safe!) time together.
*This will be a PHONE FREE CAMP*
please ensure kids leave their cell phones at home.

Camp Registration includes items to keep:
- Apron
- Cutting Board
- Knife Set
- Chopped vegetables
- Homemade Beef Jerky
- Homemade Bone Broth
- Heritage popcorn with grassfed butter
- Dinner for the whole family on Friday!
